Flickr Goes Places

Flickr launched a long-anticipated new feature called Places today. It's a neat way to hop around the world and see the most interesting photos associated with a place. It a big leap forward from their first effort at overlaying photos on a map. Here's wired's take.

Congratulations to the Flickr team, who obviously have a lot to say about how photos should get explored and discovered once they're uploaded. Those guys get to work on such interesting stuff!
