Current Launches a New Web Site

(Continuing some earlier thoughts on Current).

The good folks over at Current launched a new "user-generated" news site last week. It's pretty interesting. It lets you submit any news story you want (kind of like digg), weigh in on any issue you want, and then applies the current tv editorial sheen to the whole thing. It's not bad.

I hope that as they evolve they let user-editors build things out a lot more. While I don't actually submit a lot of articles to sites like this, I am very interested in what my friends like, and what opinion leaders think about the stories of the day. And what about personalization? Mobility? How do users want to get their news today?

Now if only they could make news more entertaining. More daily show, less face the nation.

Check it out! Good luck, Current team!
