Afro-Spanish Omelet

I've been listening to the track "Afro-Spanish Omelet" on Country Preacher again and again in the last few weeks. It's a great track, aided by Julian "Cannonball" Adderley's intro to the piece.

I couldn't find it anywhere on the web, so I typed it up myself. Now it's on the web.

Thank you brothers and sisters of Operation Bread Basket. We have something hip that we want to present to you.

You've been listening to our music. I'd like to say that we mentioned a moment ago that we're interested in black music, what it means, music that is black-oriented and so forth. Actually that's a kind of a catch-phrase, because we have a tendency to believe that it's all the same thing, but it's not really all the same thing. It's kind of out of the same thing.

Now, we have a tune that's called Spanish Omelet. Check Nat Adderley talking about the style of Spanish Omlet. It's not really Spanish all the way, but it's more Afro-Spanish. It's four tunes by all the cats in the band, and as we put it together you'll probably be able to dig what we mean by Spanish Omelet.
