Using Sonic Living To Find Shows

My friend Nick Parker has been talking to me about sonicliving for a long time-- telling me it was a really useful tool to track bands and shows. He'd tell me it's a lot better than the neglected Yahoo! Upcoming site, which isn't focused on music but on events in general. And I trust Nick, because he goes to *a lot* of shows. I don't know anyone else who even comes close.

So tonight, as I asked him for a tip for a good show to see later this week he finally forced my hand. I joined sonicliving. And while I'm still confused by the city calendar, I'm happy with everything else. You've got shows, venues, band pages with music samples, everything you need.

Not only that, but you can see what shows your friends are going to. It's very useful if you have prolific friends like Nick.

And also cool is that you can upload all the artists you listen to direct from iTunes, so you get alerts when they're performing near you. The only drawback to this is that, as a organized guy, I feel responsible for deleting deceased artists like Miles Davis and Nick Drake who, in all likelihood, will not be on tour anytime soon.

Thanks Nick! Do check it out and connect with me if you please.
