It's rumored that searchmash is a google sandbox for experimentation.
It's kind of neat to see what they're doing with the SERP (search results page). Do a search, scroll to the bottom, then use your spacebar to scroll again. Hooray AJAX!
Definitely worth keeping an eye on. Why isn't yahoo --losing search market share still--doing anything bold with their SERPs?
