
Is this not the most amazing, transformational election year? That the two remaining Democratic candidates for President are holding on to the end... perhaps all the way to the convention. You could argue that it's worrisome that voters are unsure about Senator Obama, or that a divided democratic party is a disadvantage when the Republicans have come together behind Senator McCain.
But I'm not so sure. I think it's great for the Democratic Party and the Nation to hash these things out. So far, the candidates have been largely civil to each other and have raised interesting (if not substantive) differences between each other. And I think that's why we have this process in the first place, isn't it?
Perhaps the country will continue to expect this civil give and take on issues in the general election too.
