Back From New York

I had a great trip to New York this past weekend. As they say, it's a hell of a town. Here are a few of the sights...

Stew's Neighborhood
My great friend and old roomate Stew lives in a fascinating part of Brooklyn, in a fast-gentrifying warehouse district between trendy Williamsburg and sketchy Bushwick.

Morgan Ave Station
I remembered that the subways run 24 hours a day (pictured here at 3:30 AM)

Went to the Colbert Report, where Stew works. It was had more fun than I expected.

some Klee
Saw some museum stuff.

The New Yorker Dance Party (really)
Caught up with my old friends Dan, Deb, Adam and Stew at the New Yorker Magazine Dance Party. It wasn't nearly as dorky as you'd have thought.

Grand Central Clock
Saw the usual sights and walked around a lot.

Gray's Papaya gives its endorsement
And finally, I talked politics with the grill-man at Gray's on 4th Street.

  1. Glad you saw Colbert. We missed him the last time we were there.
