


I just got back from a quick camping trip in the Southern Sierra Nevada, to Kings Canyon National Park. As noted in the pictures above, it has at least 3 different types of terrain: steep granite canyons, more lush canyons and, some miles away from the other stuff, a grove of Giant Sequoia trees.
My family grew up visiting and appreciating Yosemite a lot, and this park is familiar if a slightly more quiet place.
