Whistler!

Have I told you that I've been skiing at Whistler? It's really big, and really fun, and I couldn't get over the giddy feeling I got after my first run.

I have my friend Randy to thank for encouraging me to go. I think his words were: "If you like skiing, you really have to go. You couldn't go all the way to Vancouver in December and then not go to Whistler."



He was right. From the regular locals I talked to, it's the kind of (expensive) place that you go to once a year. You ski the slopes closer to Vancouver a bunch, then once a year you drive up to Whistler, bite the bullet and pay for a lift ticket. It really is amazing, and so for the rest of the year you remember the fun you had and plan for your next trip.
